There once were two boys trying to get home. They got halfway across the field and a bull started charging at them.
One boy said “I’m going to stop and pray”
The other boy said, “you can do what you want, but I am going to run and pray!
Run and pray.
This story reminds me of this week’s Come Follow Me. Joseph and Oliver ran out of paper in the midst of translating.
And what did they do? They asked for help…
and then they went out searching for work.
And WHILE they were out searching for work, Joseph Knight heard of their request and came with more lined paper.
As Joseph Knight recalls, “They returned home and found me there with provisions and they were glad.”
In our journey back Home, we will all hit hang ups, walls, and “bulls.”
Do as Joseph did. Go to work, and then watch God work along side you.
“Often, the answer to our prayer does not come while we are on our knees but on our feet serving the Lord.”
Elder Uchtdorf
Run.
Run AND pray.
Run towards hope.
Run towards solutions.
Run towards light.
Run towards our Savior—the giver of all those things.
It may take time.
You may be exhausted.
But don’t give up on the race.
The Savior is right there beside you. And when you fall, He will carry you.
