“The Eagle does not fight the snake on the ground.
“It picks it up into the sky and changes the battle ground, and then it releases the snake into the sky.
“The snake has no stamina, no power and no balance in the air. It is useless, weak and vulnerable, unlike on the ground where it is powerful wise and deadly.
“Take your fight into the spiritual realm.
“Don’t fight the enemy in his comfort zone, change the battle grounds and let God take charge […].” (Source unknown)
I love this visual and feel like this is what God is trying to get us to focus on with the armor of God analogy.
The shield of faith.
The breastplate of righteousness.
The sword of the spirit.
The belt of truth.
The helmet of salvation.
Feet shod with the preparation of the gospel.
Take your fight to the spiritual realm. Take your earthly foes and woes upward, and you will win the battle.
For “the final outcome between good and evil is already known. There is absolutely no question as to who wins because the victory has already been posted on the scoreboard.
“The only real strange thing in all of this is that we are still down here on the field trying to decide which team’s jersey we want to wear.” (Elder Holland)
The armor of God is God’s jersey.
Put it on.
Take your problems upward.
Change the battleground.
And let God take charge.
You will not lose.
“If you saw the size of the blessings coming, you would understand the magnitude of the battle you are fighting.”
