There was once a farmer whose sheep got bitten in the face by a rattlesnake. The sheep’s face immediately started swelling up. For two days, it continued to swell.
The farmer was worried, but the sheep was not. It kept drinking, eating, and climbing just like normal. Then, after those two days, the sheep started to recover. Miraculously, he soon came back to full health.
It turns out, anti-venom is often made out of sheep’s blood. In those two days, the sheep’s blood slowly but steadily destroyed the venom.
The sheep was fine, just like he knew he would be.
The third Article of Faith states, “We believe that through the atonement of Christ all mankind may be saved by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel.”
We, too, can be as calm as that sheep.
We don’t need to be worried about the serpent, Satan, or his poison he tries to fill us with.

So long as we have the blood of the Lamb running through us, we can be saved.
We can be confident, focusing not on the serpent who poisons, but on the God with an antidote.
Trust in Him.
He will heal you.
